Be A Lifelong Learner

Knowledge is powerful and it can take you anywhere. Be a lifelong learner with persistence and a tenacious attitude about learning new information all the time. For continuing students, teachers, and the every man a lifetime of learning is a life not wasted.

Instructions

1. Plan your own projects. If you are an educator, manager or an adult that wishes to learn more, the key to learning new things is to plan projects that you can finish alone or with your students, employees or your family. Make constant plans to conduct new experiments and be a lifelong learner by keeping these experiments going. Make a point to plan a new project for each semester or each year.

2. Seek out formal and informal settings. Be a lifelong learner both in and out of a class setting. Seek out new courses that pique your interest, and make it a habit to talk to new and interesting people when you are out. Striking up a conversation with a local artist or doctor can be enlightening and can spark an interest in many different fields.

3. Challange yourself with books on art, math, self-help or even psychology. Anything to get you thinking about difficult subjects.

4. Pursue interactions with peers, experts and mentors in yours and other fields. Though you may have a primary interest that involves your career or hobby, look to other fields for new information. Search for classes, speeches, and conferences with experts in your field of sstudy and broaden your horizons. If you are unsure which other fields to study, as a respected peer which studies interest them and go from there.

5. Use games and technology. Some of the best ways to get into learning are the ways teachers are told to teach. Use games and technology to keep the information interesting, and don't burn yourself out by spending too much time on one subject. Keep yourself interested in new information, and you will happily be a lifelong learner.

6. Understand not master every subject. Perfectionists thrive on a job well done. When you become a lifelong learner, however, it is important to realize that you should understand each new topic you delve into you should not plan to become an expert or master at each of them. Be a lifelong learner by grasping the concepts of guitar playing, but don't set your expectations too high. You may play your favorite Green Day song, but don't expect to join the band.
