The Best Fashion Design Schools In New York City

At New York's top fashion schools, students study the principles of design as well as textiles.

New York City is arguably the fashion capital of the world, with several highly regarded fashion schools in the area to back up that reputation. These schools offer so much more than pattern-making and sewing courses. At New York's premier fashion design schools, students get hands-on experience while learning the basics of fashion history or thinking about how fashion will impact the future. They also study textiles, patterns and fabrics, learning about which fabrics best fit specific ensembles.
