Good Physician Assistant Programs

Physician assistants are health care professionals.

Training to become a physician assistant is both arduous and intricate. Two to three-year programs across the country take only a small percentage of qualified applicants each year. Physician assistant programs prepare students to work as certified, highly-trained health care professionals in a variety of medical settings. If you're interested in training to become a physician assistant, the programs offered at Carver College of Medicine, University of Utah School of Medicine and George Washington University Medical Center are both exceptional and reputable.

Carver College of Medicine

Carver College of Medicine at Iowa State University is located in Iowa City, Iowa. The 25-month, full-time physician assistant graduate program at Carver College of Medicine is very unique in that it requires students to work and study alongside of medical students during their didactic, or academic, year. Physician assistant students at CCM gain experience in various clinical specialties during their second year, from surgery to pediatrics. As part of the program, students complete a research project on a health issue topic and present it to classmates and faculty members. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
