Resources are available on the Internet to Georgia homeschoolers.


Homeschooling offers advantages to some families, and dependable resources can help them get off to a good start. In Georgia there are easy-to-find homeschool resources on the web. Georgia has no laws against homeschooling, which means that any child can be homeschooled by his parents.


Georgia Department of Education


The Georgia Department of Education has supportive links, resources and tips for parents who live in Georgia and have chosen to homeschool their children. The website is not just exclusive to homeschoolers though, the Georgia Department of Education website also has information on curriculum, instruction and assessment for all age and grade levels, homeschooled or other.


Home Education Resource (HEIR)


The Home Education Resource is an all-volunteer organization comprising Georgia homeschool parents. This organization is a statewide, non-partisan, non-sectarian, volunteer-only organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of education in homeschooling and to ensure that the Georgia government recognizes homeschooling.








Georgia Home Education Association (GHEA)








The Georgia Home Education Association provides a variety of Christian resources and support to Georgia families who have chosen to homeschool their children. The GHEA purpose statement notes that this is a network of home education families and support groups dedicated to observing biblical commands for parents to train their children.
