Teach Apa Style To Adults







An adult writing a paper for a psychology course should know APA style formatting.


Many older adults have been heading back to school in recent years, and they are being faced with writing papers in APA style. Adults who have been out of the classroom for quite some time may not be as familiar with APA style as some of their younger classmates. Adults studying fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology and political science will find that they need to use APA style formatting for all papers and research projects that they submit. During college, students write many papers and they must format and cite them correctly. That's why it's essential for adults studying the social sciences to know use APA style correctly.


Instructions


1. Purchase a book or become familiar with any of the many websites that offer information for properly use APA style formatting. The adult may not have access to a computer, so a book would be a better choice for him.


2. Teach the cover page format, reference page format and overall format for an APA style paper. The cover page should include the paper's title, the adult's name and her school. The adult should write her paper in 12-point Times New Roman font, double space the lines and bold any headings. She should include headers on each page, which include the paper's title on the left and the page number on the right. She should put the references in alphabetical order.
