Accreditation is Important
Make sure the beauty college you choose has the proper accreditation. Accreditation ensures the colleges' quality of education and validity under the state and other licensing bodies. If your college is not correctly accredited, the program may not be recognized by the state and employers looking to hire beauty professionals. An accredited college will also be able to offer financial aid. A great way to check is through the state cosmetology licensing board. ACICS is the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. NACCAS is the National Accreditation Commission for Cosmetology Arts and Sciences.
