Visit Cedar
Point
Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, is arguably one of the most amazing amusement parks in the United States. With new roller coasters and rides added regularly, the park is constantly expanding and changing. It has something for everyone, including Planet Snoopy for children, slower rides for people who easily grow nauseous, water rides for hot days, and the ultimate thrill rides for those who love high-paced, twisty-turvy rides.

Visit Cedar Point
1. Find the Perfect Day to GoLet's face it; no one wants to spend three hours waiting in line for every single ride. A good way to avoid that is to avoid the crowds. By going on a day where it's expected to rain, fewer people are likely to go. Obviously, you don't want to go on a day where it's expected to pour all day long, but if you can choose a day where light showers are expected throughout the day, the crowds will be fewer and the lines shorter. Also, if you have the option of going on a weekday (that's not a holiday), the lines will also be shorter.
2. Find a LockerSome rides have passengers get on at one point and get off at another, meaning that you can't leave your bags behind, and the workers won't bring them through for you. That means, you'll need a locker. If you're wearing pants with pockets, bring the things that are MOST important to you to have – money, credit cards, etc. If you have glasses, you'll need to stick them either in a locker or cargo pants, and hats will need to go in the locker or down the shirt. Plan the locker carefully, though, because it costs a dollar each time you want to use it – you can only open it once per dollar.
3. Hit Up the Rides Dependent on WeatherThe first rides you should hit if you're in it for the roller coasters are rides that aren't open in inclement weather, like the Top Thrill Dragster, which opened in 2003, and shuts down if there is any sort of precipitation or winds over 35 miles per hour. If you go on a day that's expected to be rainy, this is particularly important so you don't miss the rides that you want to go on if you're all of a sudden caught in a storm.
4. Head for Rides That Are Weather-WorthyAfter rides like Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, Mantis, Corkscrew and the Raptor, head to rides like Millennium Force, Gemini and Wicked Twister, which will run in the rain as long as it's not heavy.
5. Head Inside When it RainsIf it's raining, head towards Disaster Transport, which is an indoor-coaster which will run rain or shine. There are also shows and other indoor-activities that are perfect for waiting out a short rainfall. And if it's raining you won't need to worry about waiting for hours in the water rides – you're already wet.
6. Get WetWhen it's not raining, consider getting in line for water rides. The best time to do this is before it gets really warm so you're not waiting in line at the same time everyone else realizes that it's hot and is also waiting in line.
7. Find the Easy RidesWhether you're hitting up the amusement park with kids, just want to get a feel for the park or need a break before the next death-defying ride, take some time to ride the train, take the antique cars, the sky ride or the giant wheel.
