Bible College Grants & Scholarships

Baptist bible college grants support students in pursuit of careers in the ministry.

Bible colleges, typically affiliated with a particular branch of Christianity, are usually generous in distributing financial aid to graduate and undergraduate students. The churches themselves may also have scholarship funds, and Christian foundations contribute to students and colleges. Bible college grants and scholarships are almost always reserved for church members in good standing who have a record of active participation in church life, and who plan to pursue a career in the ministry or other related occupations.

Baptist Bible College & Seminary Grants and Scholarships

Baptist Bible College, located in Clark's Summit, Pennsylvania, awards six grants or scholarships annually. The amount of the BBC Grant varies according to the applicant's GPA. Higher grade point averages receive higher amounts. The Christian Leadership Scholarship grant, intended for students involved in a ministry, require an essay describing that ministry and a recommendation from the student's pastor. Students accepted by December 15 receive Early Acceptance Grants and winners of Talents for Christ awards receive tuition assistance. Students with completed Awana certificates and graduates of the Word of Life Bible Institute also get scholarships.

Trinity Bible College Scholarships and Grants

Trinity Bible College, in Ellendale, North Dakota, awards grants based on a number of criteria. Three freshman or transfer students receive the President's Scholarship Award annually. Scholarships based on participation in church and community activities are awarded based on number of years the student participated and the student's leadership. Some grants award participation in Assemblies of God activities. Qualifications for relationship scholarships include being a minister, relative of an alumnus or the dependent of a minister. Several individuals provide endowments for the college, and those endowments cover scholarships with differing requirements.

American Baptist Home Mission Societies Scholarships

The American Baptist Home Mission Societies awards female graduate students preparing for human service careers the Ellen Cushing Scholarship. Undergraduate students must be active members of an American Baptist church, be United States' citizens and have been accepted at an accredited school to apply for a scholarship. The same qualifications apply to Seminarian scholarships. Ph.D. candidates who have completed at least one year of study and plan to teach in a field directly related to preparing others to become American Baptist leaders qualify for Doctoral Grants.

Champions for Christ Foundation

The Champions for Christ Foundation, based in Greenville, South Carolina, awards scholarships to students who plan to dedicate their life to Christ. Both undergraduate and graduate students may apply, and previous grantees may apply for funding each year. Applicants must be active in their church and believe they have a calling.
