While the National Institute of Design and Development offers an intense two-year course focusing on career placement, the International Institute of Fashion Design provides many educational options for the interior design student. By joining the IIFD you can either join a one-year professional course, a two-year advanced course, or a three-year specialization course for interior design certification. The Sai School of Interior Design
The Sai School of Interior Design is a trade-focused school established by interior designer Ramesh Khilani, early in 2000. Unlike other design schools, the SSID focuses on its interior design program over the fashion design aspect other schools intermingle. By Ramesh Khilani's design, the coursework provides students with a broad education in interior design with students choosing a design focus after they have honed the basics and developed a preference. The SSID provides professional development courses in either a one or two-year advanced course, or through one of the many 120-hour certification courses for designers in need of specific training.
