The State of Texas offers a number of generous scholarships and grants to help you complete your studies


With the continually rising cost of tuition in the state of Texas and across the United States as a whole, attaining your higher education can be an expensive goal. Luckily, whether you're looking financial assistance for your undergraduate or postgraduate degree or even college diploma, the State of Texas offers a number of generous scholarships and grants to help you complete your studies without draining your bank account.


The Kenneth H. Ashworth Scholarships


The scholarships are worth $2,000 each and are awarded annually


The State of Texas offers generous scholarships to students via the Kenneth H. Ashworth Fellowship Program. The program targets exceptional students enrolled in public affairs, public service or public administration graduate programs who have shown evidence of financial need.


The scholarships are worth $2,000 each and are awarded annually.


Eligible applicants must be Texas residents enrolled as graduate students in public affairs, public service or public administration at an accredited institution, must show evidence proving requirement of financial aid and must have the intention of working in Texas after the completion of their graduate studies.

University of Texas Co-op and George H. Mitchell Undergraduate Student Scholarships


Recipients are chosen, based completely on merit, by the The University of Texas Co-op Awards Selection Committee


The University of Texas offers the University Co-op and George H. Mitchell Undergraduate Student Scholarships for Academic Excellence, to recognize and reward a selection of university undergraduates who have shown stellar academic achievement.


Nine undergraduates are awarded annually, with five receiving $2,000, three receiving $5,000 and one exceptional student being awarded $20,000. Recipients are chosen, based completely on merit, by the The University of Texas Co-op Awards Selection Committee, made up of members of the university's many faculty members.


Eligible applicants must be a junior or senior currently enrolled at The University of Texas Austin.

Texas Educational Opportunity Grants and Scholarships Program


The scholarship will cover the student's tuition and fees for the entire duration of the student's selected course


The Texas Educational Opportunity Grants and Scholarships Program was established by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in order to provide financial aid to disadvantaged individuals who desire to pursue their higher education at a Texas public college.


Eligible applicants must be Texas residents, must show evidence of need for financial assistance, and should not yet have been granted a bachelor's or associate's degree from any educational institution within the state.


The scholarship will cover the student's tuition, textbooks and added fees for the entire duration of the student's selected course. The use of the scholarship however is limited to public community or public state colleges in the state of Texas only.
