You can block spammers from texting your cellphone by blocking their website.
Many spammers have taken to sending cellphone users spam in the form of text messages in recent years. These messages are often short, advertising a free product, and have a website listed. Although they often state texting "Stop" will remove your information from their messaging list, it tends to cause the company to send you more messages. If you are an AT&T or Verizon Wireless user, however, you can block the website associated with the spam from contacting you. Other cellphone carriers, including T-Mobile and Sprint, do not have this option yet as of the date of publication.
Instructions
AT&T
1. Go to http://mymessages.wireless.att.com/ on a computer.
2. Log in with your AT&T wireless phone number and password. If you have not set up a password for your wireless account, click "Register" to enter your personal information and set a password.
3. Click "Preferences."
4. Type the Web addresses of the websites listed in the spam text messages under "Websites."
5. Click "OK" to confirm. Log out.
Verizon
6. Go to vtext.com.
7. Click "Sign in/Register" to log in with your Verizon Wireless account or register your Verizon Wireless account online.
8. Click "Preferences" under "Messaging."
9. Enter the Web addresses of the websites listed in the spam text messages you received in the boxes labeled "Websites." Click "Okay" to confirm.
10. Log out.
