Georgia Tech
offers baseball as part of their athletics program.
Georgia Tech has an NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports and athletics program. Their mascot is the yellow jacket. Georgia Tech also offers intramural sports, providing students with athletic competition year-round.
Intercollegiate Sports
Georgia Tech offers 17 varsity-level collegiate sports. Men's sports include football, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, indoor and outdoor track, swimming, diving, cross country and volleyball. Women's sports include softball, tennis, basketball, indoor and outdoor track, volleyball, swimming, diving and cross country.
Intramural Sports
Intramural sports are held at the Campus Recreation Center. Fall intramural sports include whiffleball, flag football, volleyball and sand volleyball, soccer, billiards, ultimate Frisbee and bowling. Spring intramural sports include basketball, softball, whallyball, racquetball, dodgeball, badminton, three-on-three hoops, and innertube water polo. Summer intramural sports include kickball, softball, three-on-three hoops and sand volleyball.
Venues
The Alexander Memorial Coliseum has 9,191 seats and is nicknamed the "Thrillerdome." There are also 12 luxury suites that seat 14 people each, concession stands and merchandise outlets. The Aquatic Center is home to the Yellow Jackets' swimming and diving program, and has both a competition pool and a diving pool. The Bill Moore Tennis Center has 12 outdoor courts and three indoor courts. The Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Field was built in 1913 by Georgia Tech students and is home to the school's football field.
