Use Affirmations Effectively

Affirmations can help center your mind, calm your emotions and focus your attention on your goals. Affirmations are easy to use, but there are some things your should remember. Read on to learn use affirmations effectively.

1. Remember to keep you affirmations based in the present. Use words like "I am," "I have" and "I can." Words like "I will" will negatively impact your subconscious by implying that your goals are not important in the here and now.








2. Always speak in the first person, and include your name in your information. An example: "I, Jane Doe, am healthy and strong." Using your full name adds power to your affirmation.


3. Limit the number of affirmation your work with to two. This allows your subconscious mind to absorb the affirmations.








4. Repeat your affirmations often. Write each affirmation in a notebook at least 15 times each day. Repeat the affirmations every morning while facing a mirror, and record the affirmations and listen to them while driving in the car or working out.


5. Visualize your affirmations as your repeat them. See your self living the life you want to live.
