The Automotive Training Centre trains students to become certified auto mechanics.
Trade schools allow students to study a specialized or technical field and enter an in-demand job. Quebec has several trade schools, many of which are located in Montreal, its largest city. Because Quebec is a French-speaking province, many of its schools offer programs in both French and English.
Automotive Training Centre
The Automotive Training Centre has three locations and online courses. It offers instructors with several years' experience, hand-on training, and hundreds of hours of real shop training with current equipment and technology. At the Quebec campus, students can receive training to become certified auto mechanics. Students must complete three levels of training that consists of 6,000 hours total. Students also must pass a written examination for certification in Quebec. Students interested in working in other Canadian provinces must receive the Red Seal Certification, which requires 9,720 hours of work-related experience. The school claims that 96 percent of its graduates are employed as auto mechanics.
