Prepare A Ceramic Vase For Shipping

Shipping an item through the United States Postal Service is sometimes a tough job to get your package there all in one piece. Sometimes it doesn't matter how carefully you package your items, they always seem to arrive broken. This article will help you package your items so they will arrive safely and in one piece. Since a vise is a rather fragile item, we will attempt to get one through the USPS without harm.

Instructions

package a vase for shipping

1. Begin by gathering all the needed supplies. Unroll the bubble wrap and place it around the upper half of the vase 2 times. only wrap half of the vase at this time. Cut the bubble wrap and secure it with tape. Now overlap the top of the bubble wrap so it protects the rim of the vase. Secure it with tape

2. Wrap the bubble wrap around the bottom half of the vase 2 times making sure to overlap the bubble wrap in the middle slightly. Cut the bubble wrap and secure it with tape not only down the side but also around the middle where the 2 pieces overlap. Now overlap the bottom so it protects the bottom rim of the vase and secure it with tape.

3. Fill the box up about 1/3 of the way with shredded paper. Make a hole in the middle of the shredded paper so you can set the vase down in the middle of it. Set the vase down in the shredded paper and fill the remainder of the box with shredded paper. Make sure you literally pack the shredded paper around the vase so no movement is possible during shipment.

4. Tape the box closed, and put the address on the label. Affix the label to the box and place some tape over the shipping label so it does not accidentally get pulled off during shipping. Take your package to the post office and rest assured it will arrive safely!
