Law Schools With Early Decision Programs


Applying to law school is a stressful process and requires patience. Some schools have made this process easier by offering an early decision program. When applying to a law school through an early decision program, you should be positive that is the school you want to attend. You normally are required to withdraw your application from other schools when you apply through early decision.


University of Chicago The Law School


Whether you are applying through early decision or the regular admissions process, your application must be submitted through the Law School Admissions Council. You must submit your application for early decision by Dec. 1. If you apply at University of Chicago through the early decision program you are not allowed to apply early admission to any other law school. The school will send out its decision by Dec. 31.

University of Michigan Law School


The University of Michigan Law School has an early decision program. To apply through the early decision program, you must submit your application by Nov. 15. You also will have to withdraw your application from other law schools. The University of Michigan will respond with a decision by Dec. 15, and you will be required to begin courses at the start of the summer term.

University of California Los Angeles School of Law








UCLA School of Law offers a early decision program to applicants that are positive that UCLA is their first choice. You must submit your application by Nov. 15, and decisions will be made by the end of December. If you are admitted to UCLA Law School by early decision, you will have to withdrawal your applications from any other law schools, not submit any further law school applications and submit your letter of intent to the register and seat deposit by the deadline that will be outlined in your admission letter.

Hofstra University Law School


Hofstra University offers an early decision program to applicants that have done their research and are certain Hofstra is the school for them. Your early decision application must be received by Dec. 1. Make sure to check the box on your application that states "early decision." By applying through early decision to Hofstra University, it reassures the admissions committee of your commitment to the university. The university will notify you by Dec. 22 of its decision.

George Washington University School of Law


If you choose to apply through the early decision program at George Washington University, your application should be submitted by Dec. 15. Decisions are made by Jan. 15, and you will have until Jan. 31 to pay your seat deposit. You also will be required to withdraw other law school applications within five days. If you are not chosen for early admission, your application still will be considered for the regular admission.
