Study In Germany

If you enjoy learning firsthand about other cultures and have an interest in the German language, consider studying in Germany. Learning the language comes more easily once you completely immerse yourself in the German speech and culture. You can study in German universities or private institutions. Follow these steps to help you plan your study abroad.

Instructions

1. Decide where you want to study in Germany. The city of Berlin offers four universities: Free University of Berlin, Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin, Technische Universitat Berlin, and Universitat der Kunste. If you're a college student your Study Abroad office can help you make your choice. As an individual looking for a continuing education experience, research Internet sites such as WLE-Germany for information.

2. Contact the university or private institution of your choice and request the admission application. Along with the application, expect to send a non-refundable application fee and copies of your passport.

3. Fill out the enrollment papers and send with your required fees. Be aware of deadlines for returning these materials.

4. Apply for your Visa as soon as you learn of your acceptance. The application process varies in duration and you must have a Visa to study in Germany, unless you are a Citizen of the European Union. Contact your closest German Embassy or Consulate for more information.

5. Book your plane trip to study in Germany. After booking the trip contact your school to see if they need your flight information. You must also verify all your study plans at your school to make sure you have everything in order.
