Anyone heard of keller ladders

Anyone heard of Keller ladders?

I was looking for a Little Giant type multi-telescoping ladder. I hear that all the patents on the Little Giant already expired so everyone is making one just like it. I'm glad. From what I've found, Little Giant 22' goes for $400. Werner 22' goes for $300. Found this from Menards (top left): In small print it says 21' for $169. It seems to be the exact same kind of ladder as the Little Giant, just a much better deal. So I went and bought it last night, it's actually a 22-footer. The weird thing is, I cannot find ANYTHING on Keller brand ladder on the internet. Is this some kind of off brand? Has anyone heard of it? Is it reputable? Thanks. Mr. M, I'm sure you got good value for your money but you can't expect a knock off to be the of the same quality as the unit that it mimics. There is a good reason that the Giant was priced at what seemed to be a high price. I'm honestly not familiar with this ladder specifically but the company must have been successfully selling them if they have been produced long enough for the patent to run out. Is your ladder as good as the original?.................Not likely. Is your ladder a good value for the money?..........Likely. Not sure how you did your search. I typed in Keller ladders and got a bunch of hits. Also try Keller telescoping multi-ladder. Originally Posted by majakdragon Not sure how you did your search. All the hits I got were other ladders like Little Giant or Werner, and Keller Dovetail System or something, which is NOT ladder. You would think Keller would have a website? In Yahoo search a lot of the hits were for some ladders that were recalled due to structural problems. Most were older models in the mid 90's. It said Keller was made in Ft Lauderdale Fl. and Missouri. The name was changed to KLI Inc but can find nothing online either. http://www.wernerladder.com/news/index.pl?id=13 Originally Posted by IBM5081 http://www.wernerladder.com/news/index.pl?id=13 Hey yeah I saw that too, so I assumed Keller = Werner. In fact the pictures on the labels are exactly the same too. Thanks! I bought a Gorilla brand ladder at Home Depot. It's a very solid and steady ladder. It can break down to a scaffold setup very quickly with the hardware it comes with. You might try it. Fred
