Massachusetts Forensic Psychology Programs

Forensic psychologists work in prisons, correctional facilities and mental health clinics.

Forensic psychology is a field that applies psychological principles to the criminal justice system. Degrees in this field train students for clinical or counseling psychology careers within correctional facilities, prisons, mental health centers and psychiatric treatment facilities. These degrees are typical for master's degree programs, as the degree is required to become a licensed counselor; however, they are also offered through bachelor degree and doctoral programs. Massachusetts is home to several schools offering programs in all of these levels.
