You don't need a plumber if your Moen Aquastream faucet is starting to leak. The problem most likely is in the cartridge located in the handle. The cartridge is a sealed plastic part containing two water valves and is simply replaced when one or both valves wears out.
Instructions
1. Turn off the water by shutting the water valves under the sink.
2. Take off the cap on the handle. This small plastic part covers a screw that secures the handle to the cartridge stem. Loosen the screw with an Allen wrench and pull the handle off.
3. Unscrew the retaining nut and remove it with your hand or with a wrench. If there is no nut, your faucet uses a retaining clip to hold the cartridge in place. Pry this out with a screwdriver or pliers.
4. Take out the cartridge by gripping the stem and lifting it out of the faucet. Insert a new Aquastream cartridge into the faucet and secure it by replacing the retaining nut or clip.
5. Replace the handle and tighten the screw with the Allen wrench. Then turn on the faucet and test it. If the problem persists, take the handle off again and tighten down the retaining nut or make sure the cartridge isn't damaged. Then reassemble and test the faucet.
