Become a princess for Halloween this year, but make a splash by avoiding the traditional royalty. Draw from the vivid video game universe to portray Princess Daisy from the Super Mario Brothers gang. Hailing from Sarasaland, Daisy is a sportier choice than her more feminine friend, Princess Peach.
Instructions
1. Buy an auburn-colored, shoulder-length wig that you can tuck behind your ears. Curl the bottom so it flips up and tease the top layer for extra volume. Bring your bangs forward to form 2 short points on your forehead.
2. Affix a gold crown with 4 points to the top of your head. Adhere 1 gem below each point, making sure that the gem in the center is bright green backed with a white, four-petal daisy.
3. Wear a flowing yellow gown with white ruffles around the collar and the short, puffed sleeves. Add an orange bustle and 2 rows of orange ruffles along the bottom edge. Place a bright green gem surrounded by a white daisy to the center of the chest.
4. Slip on short white gloves with a ruffle around the top edge.
5. Add earrings in a shade of green that matches the gems on your crown and dress. Surround the gems with a white daisy shape like the dress' brooch.
6. Continue the color scheme by wearing orange pumps. You can wear virtually any shoe in your closet, however, since your long gown will cover them.
7. Put on very light, neutral-colored lipstick. Princess Daisy is a little on the tomboyish side and doesn't wear as much makeup as her friend, Princess Peach.
8. Get a pair of bright blue contact lenses if your eyes are a different color and coat the eyelashes on your upper lid with black mascara.

If you're dressing for a costume contest, ask a friend to dress as Princess Peach (Daisy's best friend and princess of the Mushroom Kingdom) and go as a duo.
