Build Your Own Water Gun
1. Cut two 1/4-inch pieces from the 1/2-inch CPVC pipe.
2. Cut 15 1/2 inches from the 1/2-inch dowel.
3. Cut 4 1/2 inches of the 1-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe
4. Use a pair of scissors to cut the two pieces of CPVC pieces on one side.
5. Place the pieces of CPVC on the end of the dowel and leave 1/4 inch between them.
6. Use epoxy to glue the pieces in place and let it dry.
7. Use a drill to make 1/2-inch hole in your 40 PVC end cap.
8. Sand the two pieces of attached (now dry) pieces of PVC until they will fit inside your 1/2-inch PVC pipe.
9. Put the o-rings between the two pieces of PVC you glued onto the dowel.
10. Drill two holes in the other end of the dowel. One hole should be 1 inch from the end, and the other one should be 1 1/2 inches from the first hole you drilled.
11. Drill two holes in your 1 inch PVC piece. One will be 1 inch from one end, and the other hole will be 1 1/2 inches from the opposite end.
12. Make a handle from your piece of 1 inch PVC by attaching it to the dowel with some washers, nuts and bolts.
13. Put the smaller piece of the gun (the pump rod) into the larger end (the pump shaft).
14. Push the pump rod all the way into the gun's pump shaft, dip it into some water, and pull the pump rod back again to fill your gun.
15. Aim your gun and push the pump rod in, forcing the water out the end cap.

Tips Warnings
Label your parts after you buy them, or this project MIGHT get slightly confusing.
When you go to buy your supplies, bring a list of the parts shown to be sure that you get the proper ones.
Epoxy is very strong adhesive, and it is not advised that children be allowed to work with it without careful supervision.
