Colorado Medical Colleges







There are many medical colleges in Colorado.


If you're seeking a medical career and live in the state of Colorado, you may consider one of the state's many medical colleges. These colleges offer accredited degree programs in just about every medical career you can think--everything from medical doctor to massage therapist. Out-of-state students may well be interested also as some of the colleges in Colorado are considered to be among the best in the country.


University of Colorado School of Medicine


According to its website, the University of Colorado School of Medicine's (CU) programs are ranked among the top U.S. schools of research, primary care and faculty excellence. Students wanting to attend the University of Colorado School of Medicine can enter into four degree programs: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and Medical Scientist Training Program Degree (MSTP).


Denver School of Nursing








The Denver School of Nursing (DSN) is a private institution owned by Education Affiliates. Accredited by the Colorado State Board of Nursing (CBON), DSN has full approval for both ADN and BSN programs. This approval allows graduates to apply to take the licensing exam, which is required for professional practice. DSN is also accredited by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, allowing DSN to award associate's and bachelor's degrees in nursing, and by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). DSN offers several bachelor's and associate's degrees in nursing.


Institute of Business and Medical Careers


The Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC) has several locations throughout Colorado and Wyoming; however, the main campus is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Students interested in a career in healthcare, business, legal or massage can attend IBMC. IBMC is accredited through the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and is regulated by the Division of Private Occupational Schools, Department of Higher Education and the State of Colorado. Founded in 1987 under the name of Medical Careers Training Center, the institute caters to students interested in medical billing and coding and careers as a medical assistant or pharmacy technician.


IntelliTec Medical Institute--Colorado Springs


IntelliTec Medical Institute in Colorado Springs offers several medical programs, including dental assistant, massage therapist, medical administrative assistant, medical assistant, medical laboratory assistant and personal training. IntelliTec is a somewhat smaller campus and provides students with personalized attention. IntelliTec Medical Institute in Colorado Springs is accredited through the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
