Occupational Therapist Assistant Colleges

Occupational therapist assistants may work in hospitals, nursing homes or rehabilitation centers.

Occupational therapy assistants work under the supervision of therapists as they help rehabilitate persons with mental, physical or developmental impairments. Associate degree curricula commonly meld fieldwork experience at nearby work sites with pertinent theory and skills courses like Kinesiology and Neuroanatomy. Upon completion of associate degree program requirements, occupational therapy assistant graduates can optionally take a certification examination administered by The National Board for Certifying Occupational Therapy for certification.
