Scholarships For Black Women In California

Some universities in California offer scholarships for black women.

Among the most underprivileged minorities in California, black women can find many resources for grants that target minorities and women. In California several schools provide financial aid and scholarship grants for black women students based on things such as merit, demonstration of need, and excellence in academics, athletics and fine arts.

University of Southern California

Situated in Los Angeles, an international center for trade, arts and technology, the University of Southern California (USC) is among the world's foremost private study universities. USC enrolls more global students than any other university in the country and offers opportunities for studying abroad and internships. USC administers over a dozen major scholarship programs for black students, including those that provide for full paid tuition. Unlike student loans, the school does not require students to repay these scholarships that target African Americans. The school awards scholarships based on leadership, talent, service, academic excellence and other criteria. USC provides scholarship grants for said students until they graduate from its four- or five-year course plans so long as they maintain average grades and meet other program requisites.
