The Hoover SteamVac Agility is part of the company's line of SteamVac carpet cleaners, which feature professional strength carpet and upholstery cleaning through the use of scrubbing brushes and a combined steam and cleaning formula. Available online and in select department, appliance and home retail stores, the Agility is designed to be lightweight for easy use and maneuvering. Using the SteamVac Agility is fairly simple, but should only be done by an adult familiar with operating home appliances that utilize electrical power and hot steam.
Instructions
1. Press the button on the front of the main canister and pull out the solution tank. Pull up on the latches on each side of the tank to lift off the lid. Turn the lid over, fill the included measuring cup to the fill line with Hoover brand cleaning formula and pour into the solution tank. Fill the measuring cup once more and pour into the tank, for the proper amount of cleaning solution for most carpets. Fill the solution tank with clean, hot tap water to the fill line. Turn the lid back over and place it on the solution tank. Close the side latches and replace on the vacuum.
2. Plug the SteamVac Agility into a working power supply and press down on the handle release pedal. Lower the handle to a horizontal position. Turn the power switch to On.
3. Squeeze and hold the trigger on the handle until cleaning spray is dispensed onto the carpet. Slowly move the cleaner back and forth over the damp area. Repeat moving the carpet cleaner over the same area without squeezing the trigger.
4. Repeat in overlapping sections over the carpet surface to be cleaned. Turn off the SteamVac and unplug when cleaning is complete.
5. Press the button in the center of the canister and pull out the tank. Pull up on the side latches and remove the cap. Empty the tank into a large sink and rinse out the tank with clean water.
6. Pull the front part of the canister open and locate the filter on the back. Remove any lint or debris from the filter with your fingers and close the canister door. Place the tank back into the base of the unit and snap into place.
